Toowoomba New Cafe Hiring

Hi,
We have new cafe located at Toowoomba is now hiring:
-Wait staff
-Cafe all rounder
-Kitchen hand
-Cook
-Barista

We are looking for staff who is:
Hard working, responsible and honest
Able to work under pressure and unsupervised
Able to work as a team
Able to work on weekends/ public holiday
Experience not essential but will be given more consideration in final decision into filling the role.

Don’t apply jobs at Southtown 63 cafe. The boss won’t treat you nice. They also pissed you off when they thinks you are wrong. The owner are Arther and Gin from China and Taiwan. Arther always yells to the kitchen staffs during busy lunch time. Gin gave the staffs who is close to her more hours. If they don’t think you are the one they want even you don’t do anything wrong . The reason they gave it to you is sorry we don’t have more hours to you. That’s bull shit as some students they gave her 40hours during school holiday period. They will cut your shift if cafe is not busy like send you to have a break twice or ask you to leave earlier. Everyone works there feel so much stress but all the staffs try their best working every day. I feel sad as I do like to work with all the girls at the cafe but not with this kind of owner. Lots of girls has been fired and they said we don’t have more hours but they still hiring staffs. What a joke! Well just let everyone what’s going on as have been worked there and share my experience. You can find a better job than this. Cheers!

Hi Bowie, thanks for your feedbacks after left a month, we have our own concerns to all girls, everyone does right not wrong but some people does better as we can see and also we got the feedbacks from our trainers for every staffs, we are not closer to anyone in the shop as you used to be an owner so you should understood this. I hope you can get a better job too and so do everyone!

If you are working in hospitality industry, you should know most of the cafes or restaurants are doing the same thing. If the shop not too busy or you’re not obedience, the owner/ manager could reduce the working hours. If you’re still under probation, they could just let you go if your performance not meet the standards. By far reading those comments looks like you were an owner. You should understand that cost saving and wouldn’t keep the staff can not help the owner/ manager much. your shop is not for charity, is not just need a volunteer to help. You are opening the shop to make money and provide a good service to customers.
