Our Eagle Farm Based client in pharmaceutical productspackaging and processing industry. You will report to the Production Managerand Production Supervisor.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technicalexpertise and problem-solving skills to ensure production efficiency,compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and workplace safety. Theideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturingenvironment and be able to supervise, train, and guide a team of operators.
Current Shift: Morning shift, 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday toThursday (10-hour shifts)
Future Rotating Roster: If the business introduces anafternoon shift, you will rotate every two weeks:
- Morning Shift: 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay Rates:
- Morning Shift: $36.37 per hour
- Afternoon Shift: $40.73 per hour
Duties will include:
- Ensure the production line operates efficiently and meets throughput targets.
- Maintain quality control standards, including in-process inspections, machine calibrations, and documentation accuracy.
- Ensure the workflow of production activities is efficient and effective
- Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
- Supervise, train, and provide direction to a team of operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Optimize workflow to minimize downtime between batch changes and maximize output.
- Ensure timely and effective line changeovers to meet production schedules.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical processing issues, and investigate failures and incidents to solve
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve production effectiveness.
To be considered you must have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, food, or veterinary manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
- Experience with packaging line operations, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, including TGA and GMP guidelines (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with specific regulations and compliance issues unique to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including TGA/GMP guidelines.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
