Procurement Specialist $75000 annual salary plus bonus,

Key responsibilities:
· Ensure all purchasing action is carried out to the best advantage,
· Ensure effective communication within the Purchasing team, with internal customers and external suppliers,
· Provide timely responses and feedback to all departments in relation to enquiries and issues with product availability,
· Source new suppliers on the basis of service and cost effectiveness,
· Identify and propose opportunities for cost effective improvements to methods and procedures relating to areas of responsibility,
· Conduct business needs assessment and supply market intelligence to support cost leadership management process
· Assist in the development of procurement and commercial strategies, in continuous improvement & transformation of procurement processes, risk management and maintain supply chain needs
· Develop and monitor provisioning processes to meet upcoming requirements,
· Ensure rectification in an appropriate and timely manner of any identifiable deficiencies.
· Ad Hoc Business Development Projects
The successful applicant will possess the following:
· Tertiary qualification in business administration or related field preferred;
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing;
· Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy and systems;
· Strong negotiation skills with ability to drive procurement initiatives
· Strong analytical capability with greater attention to detail
· Ability to develop supplier relationships, analyse problems and strategize for better solutions;
· Team player attitude, and willingness to be cross-trained within the team;
· High attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated attitude;
· Ability to work unsupervised and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment;
· Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both written and verbal;
· Experience in collecting and analysing data, and maintaining accuracy in data entry;
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to rapidly learn new software.
